Margaret Anderson-Elbolini, 52 of Hackettstown, was behind the wheel of a vehicle that veered off River Road and hit the fence around 6:15 p.m. Saturday, according to a Mount Olive police report.

Responding officers found the license plate and traced the vehicle's registration to a home in Vasa Park, it says.

Anderson-Elbolini appeared drunk when she answered the door, so police gave her a field sobriety test, according to the report.

They then arrested her and brought her to Mount Olive police headquarters.

Police said they charged Anderson-Elbolini with DWI, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident, failing to maintain lane, not using a hands-free device and improper display of plates.

She was released to a responsible adult under John's Law.
